Here in Melbourne, we have some gorgeous sunny days in Autumn, but it’s not a constant. One minute you’re basking in the warmth of unexpected sunshine, the next you’re reaching for a scarf as the wind and rain return. The familiar saying ‘Four Seasons in One Day’ certainly applies all year round in the state of Victoria.

Near the heart of Dandenong, our local craft brewery has some serious brewing production on site. Plus, you can enjoy a tasty meal and live music at our restaurant on the weekends.
What exactly is a Summer Ale?
It’s a crisp, refreshing and fruity brew crafted for warm, sunny days. If you’re feeling the outside heat, quench your thirst with our delicious Doveton Summer Ale. You’ll know it by its distinct golden, honey colour with a light body and low alcoholic content, perfect for a warm summer’s day.
Where is the Doveton Summer Ale brewed ?
Our Summer Ale is crafted right here on-site by our very own maestro brewer. If you’re not quite sure if it’s the style for you, ask for our opinion or you could go it alone, and sample our tasting paddle, which allows you to explore a few ale varieties at a time.
Ingredients :
Here at Brownstown Micro Brewery, we use a Pilsner Malt base, and two varieties of hops; Amarillo hops and the 7 C’s hop blend, Falconer’s Flight.
Amarillo is a hop cultivated in America, which gives off a distinct citrus flavour and aroma.
Falconer’s Flight is another American blend, specifically the Pacific Northwest hops.
We focus on the fresh and fruity flavours for that refreshing kick in the summer heat, creating a delicate balance between pine, tropical fruit and citrus notes.
Alcohol Content:
One of the main characteristics of a summer ale, is it’s low alcohol content. At 3.5%, it’s easy drinking at it’s best, and a good option to start the evening with.
